Use within the clinic

The boxes have been designed as a way to sensitively transport deceased animals home from the clinic, enabling us to professionally and considerately support our clients at their time of loss.

 

They are also appropriate during home euthanasia, especially if the pet is being transported back to the clinic for burial or cremation.

 

I have also found them appreciated by owners who are leaving their pets at the clinic for cremation, to see their pet delicately placed in a burial box as the parting image, rather than laying deceased on a table or the floor.

 

The boxes are designed to be 100% biodegradable so they can be used for burial.  They are not water proof.  In our clinic we manage post mortem urination by expressing the bladder before putting the pet in the box, or lining that area of the box with an absorbent ‘vet pad’.  Another option is to use light plastic bag over the lower half of the animal, then cover this area with paper towel or shroud material.

Prices are for individual boxes.  All boxes are delivered in groups of 10.

Professional appearance. 

The box is white and has an attractive ivy border.  The white card enables owners to personalise the box, which can be a very helpful part of the grieving process, especially for young children.

Handles to aid carrying. 

These handles are covered by cardboard internally, so fingers are protected from the pet.  They are featured on the small and medium dog boxes.
